About Fluidrive® Automatic Transmissions

The Fluidrive Story

Fluidrive® today is one of Australia’s most experienced, respected and successful specialists in the service, repair and reconditioning of Automatic Transmissions.

How we started

Our success is due to the vision of the founder, Joe Shneider who as far back as the 1950’s recognised that Automatic Transmissions would become increasingly popular in motor vehicles. He was among the very first in Australia to undertake specialised training in Automatic Transmission repair, service and reconditioning, and in 1963 opened the first Fluidrive® Service Centre.

Our Secret of Success

Automatic Transmissions have become increasingly complex with advancements in technology and computer controlled electronics. We keep up to date with the latest technical developments, and train our technicians accordingly.

One of the main reasons for our success is our old fashioned philosophy that the Customer comes first. Our experience has shown that people will keep coming back if they receive good, honest service at a competitive price. Today, over 50% of our retail business comes from referrals.

The Fluidrive® name is known and respected among the Automotive Industry’s senior representative bodies. The V.A.C.C. (Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce) has accepted Fluidrive® Services Centres as accredited specialists.

Present & Future

Fluidrive® understands that vehicle owners require the expertise of recognised specialist transmission repairers who will employ rigorous quality standards to assure the reliability of these complex systems.
